Jim has been fishing the inshore waters of the Jersey Shore for over 25 years. Jim is on the national Pro Staff for St. Croix Rod Company, Spotters Sunglasses, AVET Conventional Reels, Aquaskinz, Korkers, Gamakatsu, and Spro. Jim is a noted author, highly sought after seminar speaker, fishing columnist, and outdoor writer. His book, Fishing The New Jersey Coast is a best seller on the market today and has received the "New Jersey Center for the Book Award" as one of the most notable NJ books. He is also a co-author of Saltwater Fishing, A Tactical Approach.
Jim writes regularly for Fly Fishing In Saltwaters, Fly Fisherman, and The Fisherman. He has also written for Big Game Fishing Journal, New Jersey Angler, and NJ Boating and Fishing.
Jim also has saltwater fishing columns that appear in The Bergen Record, Asbury Park Press, Coast Star Newspaper, and the NJ Federated Sportsmen News. He also contributes regularly to Stripersurf.com Insider. Jim is a member of the Atlantic Saltwater Flyrodders and Manasquan Fishing Club. He resides in Manasquan with his wife Mary and three children, Christie, Carlie, and Thomas James. |
 
Capt. Gene Quigley is considered one of the top fly and light tackle captains in the Northeast. A native of the New Jersey shore, Gene has been fishing the inshore and offshore waters for over 30 years. In addition to guiding, Gene is also a noted outdoor writer, photographer, and seminar speaker. He is on the editorial staff for Fly Fishing in Saltwaters, and contributes regularly to Saltwater Sportsman, Fly Fisherman, The Fisherman, Sport Fishing, Boaters Digest, and is a featured speaker on the Sport Fishing's “Learn From the Experts” Seminar series.
Gene is a co-author of Saltwater Fishing, A Tactical Approach. Gene also contributes a weekly fishing column in the "Hook, Line and Sinker" section of the Asbury Park Press.
Gene sits on the national prostaff’s for St Croix Rod Company, Raymarine, AVET Reels, Parker Boats, Yamaha, Navionics, Aquaskinz, Tibor Reels, Rio Fly Lines, Spotters Sunglasses, Gamakatsu, Spro, PowerPro, Patagonia, and Korkers.
Currently, Gene is the Chairman of the New Jersey Professional Fly & Light Tackle Guides Association and sits on the association’s national board of directors. He has been seen on the Outdoor Life Networks (OLN) “Family Fishing Outdoors Show” and PBS’s “Vacations On The Fly” television shows.

Shell E. has over 50 years of surf and jetty experience. He is on the National Pro Staffs for G. Loomis, Korkers, and Spotters Sunglasses. Shell E. is an accomplished spin, conventional, and fly tackle angler. He is a co-author of Saltwater Fishing A Tackle Approach and a frequent contributor to the Fisherman magazine having written numerous articles on surf fishing strategies.

David is a licensed U.S.C.G. Master Captain who has been fishing the local waters of the Jersey Shore for over 30 years. His fishing experiences have taken him from our local New Jersey waters, to the tropical islands of Hawaii, and South and Central America where he has fished for Grouper, Cobia, Billfish, Tuna, and a host of other species.
He has spent countless days on the water with tremendous success inshore and at the offshore canyons with his father Captain Barry Goldman who operated the Ol’Salty 2 since David's childhood.

Greg's passion for the sport began at the early age of eight fishing the local fresh and saltwaters. In addition to being one of the community's most highly respected physicians, Capt. Greg is also one of the Jersey Shore's premier custom plug-makers, the hard to find, Pajama Plug®. When not caring for his patients during his day job as a physician, he can be found anywhere from the back bays of Barnegat to the offshore tuna grounds. He fishes aboard his custom Contender 25 foot center console in search of stripers, weakfish, bluefish, albies, tuna, and dolphin. Capt. Greg specializes in light tackle angling, livelining, offshore trolling, and chunking.

Rich has been a member of the National Factory Team of St. Croix Rods for the last 11 years. Rich is the Shore Catch specialist for Raritan Bay/Sandy Hook and will be handling our spin, conventional, and bait guides for those clients that want to fish this area. This includes plugging, snagging and livelining bunker, as well as baitfishing with clams, chunks, and worms. Rich has the expertise to do it all and the fish landed to back it up. In the past three years, Rich has personally put between 1,800 and 2,500 bass on the beach or over the rail of a boat each year. Click on Rich's picture to see the whole Marlin!

Kevin Halek has over 25 years experience fishing the Sandy Hook and Raritan Bay Shores, along with the Navesink and Shrewsbury Rivers. Capt Kevin will work these areas with his 23 foot Parker CC. Kevin is also an accomplished fly fisher and rod builder. He has been tying flies for over ten years.

Dave Torrick is no stranger to either the beach or the boat in our local Jersey waters as he has been fishing them for over 30 years. Dave specializes in the Raritan Bay area and knows every nook and cranny. In the Spring he guides clients in the back waters off Sandy Hook and in the Fall out along the outer beaches on the North Jersey Coast. Dave is equally at home guiding with light spin gear, conventional, or fly tackle, but when the first schools of Bunker arrive, chunking BIG bass becomes his specialty.
Dave has taken bass to 49 pounds. In addition to guiding, Dave is also on the ASA, FLW, and offshore Tuna and Marlin Tournament Trails with Capt. Rich Swisstack.

Hunter comes from five generations of saltwater fishermen. He started fishing at the young age of four in the surf, catching Stripers, Bluefish, and Weakfish. At the ripe age of eight, Hunter broke the Small Fry IGFA Weakfish world record and at the age of eleven broke the Junior IGFA Weakfish world record. He has countless bass over 30 pounds on light tackle, is an accomplished fly angler, and is now turning his sights on becoming a world class blue water angler and mate.
